Circuit Fitness Plus is committed to provide a full body workout that is completely empowering for the mind, body and spirit. We believe that awareness and appreciation of the power of femininity encourages a more positive body image, improves self-esteem and increases confidence. Our Circuit Training Program, classes and workshops are created for women of every fitness/comfort level to play, unleash, laugh and get fit!
THE WORKOUT
Circuit Fitness Plus, a heath club for women only, provides a 45-minute complete workout that targets all major muscle groups. The Circuit Fitness program is comprised of hydraulic equipment that provides a combination of strength and cardiovascular training, as well as a fully equipped cardio room.
COMFORT
Co-owner Lucy D.Abbot, has worked in the fitness industry as a manager for the past 7 years. Lucy D. Abbott is a certified Integrated Movement Therapist, and a Nia and Pilates instructor. Working along Lucy Abbott is her daughter Sonia Debarros who is a certified Fitness Instructor, with 6 years of experience as a competitive gymnast. In addition to co-owning Circuit Fitness Plus Sonia Debarros holds a seconds career as a Child and Youth Worker for Children’s Aid Society of Canada.
Together they have created a space that puts women at ease, with no mirrors, no stress and all fun! “ You respond better there is no competition”, she says. “ Women don’t go to traditional fitness clubs because they are often intimidating. Here, there is no pressure. If you want to come to the club in your pajamas you can.”
For the clients additional comfort, the gym also offers a shower facility daily lockers and more.
TRAINING
The gym offers women a wide range of workout options: Circuit Training on hydraulic machines, free weights, Pilates, Zumba and Nia classes. In addition, the cardio room provides members with a supplementary cardio work out, using treadmills, elliptical machines, recumbent bike and a rowing machine.
Circuit Fitness Plus ensures that there is a fitness instructor on the floor at all times to help when ever necessary. Members are granted a free weight loss program to educate and guide them into a healthier lifestyle.
TIME
The staff at Circuit Fitness Plus understands the time constraints of today’s busy lifestyles, and have developed a complete hydraulic routine combining strength and cardio training. “ In 45 minutes you really do get a full workout, it’s a very structured program”, says Lucy Abbott.
ESCAPE
At Circuit Fitness Plus you feel at ease. It’s your escape, on your time, at your pace. It is yours to discover from circuit training, the treadmills and elliptical machines, to stretching, or taking a risk and experiencing Nia, Zumba, or Pilates in an intimate and relaxing atmosphere.
